DEATH-SUDOKU
2015. Software
Description and concept
DEATH-SUDOKU is a version of the “Sudoku” game. The original game is composed of a grid of 81 squares divided into 9 quadrants; where the user must set the numbers from 1 to 9 without repeating them in the same row, column or quadrant. In this version, when the user introduces a number in the correct position the program searches for coincidences in a database, corresponding to the registry of dead people in a certain Hospital in Havana in the 2012 year. Once it is established a coincidence it is thrown another interface where it is shown the name, time, and cause of death of that person. That way it is recovered its identity, dissolved in the pragmatic functionality of the database. The piece includes details of images taken from the original disease registries in a furtive way.
